Neon Lamp Fight

submit to reddit

You have to hand it to the Japanese, they know violence sells and they market it like no other country can.But this has to be the dumbest sport in history, two fat guys pounding each other with neon-rods until they’re both soaked in blood?I have no idea what this sport is called or who came up with the idea, but apparently it’s very popular in the Land of the Rising Sun, despite it’s obvious stupidity. I’d rather watch some K1 or UFC any day, this is just like wrestling only with real blood.

Enjoy with new extreme sport

submit to reddit The Zorb is a gigantic polythene ball standing about three metres in height, which contains inner capsule that is suspended into position by thousand nylon strands of varying colours. There are two choices of ride. You can choose between a harness or hydro ride. The hydro ride is similar to sitting inside a washing machine, as you slither down the hill. Bring a dry set of clothes if you choose this option! The harness is more extreme, one of you then does giant forward rolls down the hill, the other does backward rolls.

Surfers

submit to reddit Surfers do a whole lot more for the oceans than just ride its big waves. They are some of its most powerful sidekicks. From setting up surfing schools to teach about the environment to creating surfboards to promote awareness artistically, surfers do a lot to show their appreciation for water.

The Paris Dakar,Rally-Truck

submit to reddit
Continuing what has now become a tradition for Iveco, Luisa Trucco will drive a factory-supported Iveco Eurocargo ML140E24W 4x4 when the 2007 edition of the gruelling Dakar Rally gets underway from Lisbon in Portugal in just less than a week's time. For some years Iveco vehicles have taken part in this fascinating adventure in the desert, obtaining good results with the rally world champion Miki Biasion, author of the best chapters in the Iveco's recent competitive history. The pilot from Bassano del Grappa came first among the current trucks category (fifth absolute) in Dakar 1999 edition. Another rally champion, the Finnish driver Markku Alén, a former protagonist of the world rally championships which were dominated by Fiat Group vehicles up to the 1990s, claimed a prestigious placing at Dakar Rally in 2005 with Eurocargo 140E24 WS, being placed seventh absolute for the trucks.

The Paris Dakar,Rally

submit to reddit The Paris-Dakar Rally isn't very big in the US, but it is in Europe and other parts of the world. For decades, it was the quintessential international motorsport expedition event - more so than the Camel Trophy and its other motorized adventure race style events. As a kid, I remember watching the day's highlights on TV, and sitting next to my dad on Sunday evenings as the race was recapped stage by stage. Helicopters equipped with cameras followed intrepid racers in kit cars and modified supercross bikes as they raced balls out across the North African desert. The crashes were as spectacular as the scenery. The teams were made up of seemingly unshakable professional adventurers and thrill-seekers. Drivers routinely got stuck in the sand and had to get themselves unstuck. Mechanical problems had to be fixed without assistance. The race was as much aout self-reliance and survival as it was about horsepower and speed.

Ski on The Water

submit to reddit Water skiing is one of the most exhilarating of water sports, in which a person is towed across water on a ski or skis (wider than those used for skiing on snow), or barefoot, by means of a rope attached to a speedboat. In 1922, Ralph Samuelson, an eighteen year old boy from Minnesota, the United States, thought that if snow skiing was possible, then why not skiing on water. He tested his theory out for the first time on Lake Pepin, Lake City, in Minnesota, getting his brother Ben to tow him. It was after the two brothers had been experimenting for several days that Ralph realized that if leant his body back, putting the tips of his skis up in the air, lead to water skiing successfully. From those days to today, water skiing has turned into one of the most popular water sports.

Extreme Skiing

submit to reddit The name says it all. This is a form of skiing where the skier goes down very steep hills or on rough terrain. This is awesome to watch and it looks like it would also be great to try, but you know what they say. It’s always fun until someone gets hurt.

Wing Walking

submit to reddit I’m not so sure that wing walking would qualify as a sport as much as it is a stunt, but it’s certainly “extreme”. Some people do refer to it as an extreme sport and it’s extremely dangerous, so it made the list. Wing walking is the act of walking out onto a wing of an airplane while it’s in the air. This actually didn’t start as a sport, but as a necessity as the first wing walker, Omer Locklear walked out on a wing with the airplane in flight during World War I to repair some damage.
I guess after that, people saw it or heard about it and said, “Hey wouldn’t that be fun”. Hell, no! But we have enough crazies that do think it’s fun and it doesn’t stop the rest of us from watching. We now see wing walkers at air shows doing stunts such as handstands and hanging by their teeth!

Freestyle Motocross

submit to reddit Freestyle motocross (or FMX) is the sport in which you use a motorcycle for stunts and tricks such as flips, like the back flip, double back flip and the whip flip. This has increased in popularity throughout the years, but the sport is very dangerous and if it’s one that you plan to partake in, you also should plan on getting some broken bones.

" Paragliding "

submit to reddit The sport dates from the last century when the mountaineers who had climbed the higher ground but wanted to walk down the mountains to fly but had gone up. They gave several terms as a glider, ie it is not handled automatically, but the orientation of time and the air are the factors that determine the free-fall from the equipment. Obviously the athletes must be well equipped in this helmet, parachute emergency altivario electronic instruments such as GPS and casual uniform for this sport. The speed with which an athlete is going to be a speed of 50 mph, the speed in this case will always be on the strength and direction of the wind. This is a simple sport, it must have to temper able to hold the heights, is to take off and fly and let the wind take you as far as possible, it is to enjoy the flight, feel the wind currents and thermal currents called dynamic and see the landscape from a considerable height.Today young people are more reckless and often do not take the measures necessary to practice this sport, although it is considered an adventure sport, but apparently the most dangerous situations are those that attract more young people to give more adrenaline and feel the sensation of living more in many countries practice this sport is not regulated and that is why there are many fatal accidents even by young people who did not take the measures necessary to practice.

American Football

submit to reddit
American Football is similar in many ways to both codes of rugby (and in fact was developed as an offshoot of rugby). It is probably more like rugby league in that each team only gets a limited amount of chances to advance the ball forward at which point they must handover possession. In Rugby League this happens after six tackles are completed, whereas in American Football it occurs when the attacking team fail to advance the ball forward by ten yards over a series of four plays (excluding penalties as will be explained shortly). In Rugby Union, on the other hand, the attacking team can go through as many phases of possession as they wish (as long as they do not commit an offence).

Kimbo Slice will be on “The Ultimate Fighter 10″

submit to reddit The controversial heavyweight who in 2008 headlined the most-viewed mixed martial arts card in history, will be one of 16 contestants on the forthcoming season of “The Ultimate Fighter,” the UFC’s reality TV series. Dana White has repeatedly mocked Slice for his lack of fighting ability. Slice, whose real name is Kevin Ferguson, became a cult figure by competing in street fights that were posted on YouTube. Slice’s “bouts” drew tens of millions of views and led him to turn professional.

He fought for EliteXC, garnering massive media attention but getting mocked by White and others affiliated with the UFC for a lack of ability. White has called him a “joke,” a “bum” and “not a real fighter,” among other less than kind descriptions. He said that Slice would “get murdered if he fought in the UFC” and suggested that his lightweight champion, 155-pound B.J. Penn, would “annihilate” the 230-pound Slice. The UFC president has repeatedly insisted he would not allow Slice to compete in the UFC unless he won his way onto the show by competing on “The Ultimate Fighter.” Slice has called White’s bluff and will appear on Season 10 of the highly rated Spike TV series, White has confirmed. Fighters live in the same house and train together, and then fight during the show in a bid to earn a UFC contract.
